You might be aware of a project Lymm and District Round Table, with support from the Parish Council is running, that has put twelve Automatic External Defibrillators throughout the village (which with the existing four units makes sixteen public accessible AED's).
The defibrillators are to support emergency first aid, with the intention of reducing the number of people who die each year, from incidents that could have been treated with the right skills. As well as fitting the defibs, we are running free first aid courses every month on the first Thursday of every month at Lymm Baptist Church, from 7.30pm.
The next course is October the 3rd, then November the 7th. More details can be found on the Round Table website.

Lymm Fiver Fest - 21st to 28th September – see what you can buy for £5 this week.
Since the launch of Totally Locally this Summer, many locals have been impressed by the £5 message:
IF EVERY ADULT IN THE LYMM AREA SPENDS JUST £5 A WEEK IN THEIR LOCAL INDEPENDENT SHOPS IT WOULD BE WORTH AN EXTRA 2.5 MILLION A YEAR GOING INTO THE LOCAL ECONOMY!
It doesn’t end there either - local businesses use each other and support local events and organisations. Having a thriving village centre offering better goods and services makes Lymm a nicer place to live. Makes you think, doesn’t it?
So to prove Lymm can do “value for money” and that the little independent shops and restaurants are not at all overpriced, they invite you to see what you can get for just £5. From September 21st to 28th they will run a Fiver Fest, with a special offer on an item in each store for just £5. And while you are there, why not see what they do and how much it costs or what services they provide?
You may be pleasantly surprised!
“Make your town a better place to live, work and visit by spending a fiver in it. Not even an extra fiver. Just one you already spend, spent in a slightly different way.”
See the event in our Events section for more information.
