A local school has become only the third in the town to gain a prestigious national standard.
Ravenbank Primary School, in Pepper Street, won the inclusion quality mark – which is based on achievement and support in 10 aspects of teaching and learning.
Head teacher Joe Lawless said: “This is an extremely complimentary and positive evaluation of all that we do.
"I am especially pleased with the comment that the children are polite, friendly with beautiful manners, fully engaged on task and a credit to the school and their families."
